The Chaotic Footprint — Dzanar’s Newest Surreal World Debuts at Art Miami

This December, from 2–7 December, visitors of Art Miami will witness the first-ever unveiling of “The Chaotic Footprint” — a surreal, playful, and deeply personal artwork by Dutch multidisciplinary artist Dzanar Abbas-Zade. Presented at Booth AM 413, the piece stands as a visual diary that blends childhood nostalgia, luxury fantasy, and the impossible worlds Dzanar is known for creating.

A Table Standing on an Elephant Foot

At first glance, the artwork pulls you into a dreamlike scene: a refined tabletop balanced on a massive elephant foot with pink glitter toenails. It’s humorous, bold, and symbolic — a reminder that even the wildest chaos can stand firmly on something strong.

The elephant foot represents Dzanar’s own foundation: growing up as a refugee, working tirelessly to shape his own identity, and transforming challenges into creativity. But what truly steals the show are the objects sitting on top.

Objects That Tell His Story

Nothing in The Chaotic Footprint is random. Every item — although placed in a chaotic composition — reflects a piece of Dzanar’s life, inspiration, and artistic evolution:

• The pink glitter basketball hints at his global breakthrough piece, the iconic glitter basketball that appeared on Times Square.

• The parrot symbolizes color, freedom, and the loud, expressive worlds he loves to build.

• The violin and blue Delft-style lamp represent his roots, culture, and the mix of old-world heritage with modern digital art.

• The hourglass echoes his signature message: Value of Time.

• The vintage blue phone nods to communication, connection, and the stories shared throughout his journey.

• The white horse bust stands for elegance, discipline, and ambition.

• The silver astronaut represents the dreamer in him — always reaching for something bigger, exploring the unknown.

Together, they create a chaotic yet intentional still life: a universe of memories, homies, passions, and symbols of growth.

A New Chapter at Art Miami

The Chaotic Footprint marks Dzanar’s debut at Art Miami during Art Basel Week, one of the most important art events in the world. The work reflects where he stands today — confident, experimental, and unafraid to merge luxury, humor, surrealism, and storytelling.
