Art Miami 2025 — The Story Behind Chaotic Footprint
During Art Basel week, I travelled to Miami as my artwork Chaotic Footprint was exhibited at Art Miami from December 2–7. Filmmaker Isabelle van Kerkwijk joined me on this journey to capture every moment — from the raw creation of my surreal worlds to their presentation on one of the most influential art stages in the world.
Chaotic Footprint tells the story of the marks we leave behind — the visible ones, the invisible ones, and the ones shaped by the chaos we grow through. It’s a reflection of my own path: from building worlds on my laptop in the Netherlands to sharing them on an international platform. The artwork blends digital imagination with physical presence, symbolizing how every step, every struggle, and every dream leaves a footprint that shapes who we become.
Seeing my piece hanging between the stands of Keith Haring and Pablo Picasso, represented by Vogelsang Gallery, was surreal — a moment that reminded me why I create. My goal has always been to inspire others to embrace their journey, no matter how chaotic or uncertain it feels.
This week in Miami wasn’t just an exhibition.
It was a reminder that every footprint has a story — and this is mine.
